$60.00 This one-of-a-kind scarf by artist Liz Maly is hand-felted from the finest merino wool, then hand-dyed using natural plant dyes. Then Liz gave it to her printmaker friend Isabelle, who screenprinted a jumble of 19th century wooden letterpress type all over it.
Merino wool is the softest of all sheep fibers, because each strand of wool is very long. It makes beautifully soft felt, which is warm and wearable. Liz used madder, a natural plant dye, to cheerful cherry red.
This scarf measures 29 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide. It has a keyhole cut at one end so you can simply pull the other end through, rather than knotting it.
Care Instructions: Wash by hand in cold water. Wrap in a towel to absorb extra water, and air dry. Enjoy!
